About the opportunity

GPK Group is seeking a full-time Technical Solutions Architect based in Melbourne, VIC.

This pivotal role bridges the gap between business challenges and technological solutions, reporting to the Innovations Manager, and is responsible for defining requirements, creating solutions, and mentoring colleagues to deliver projects to specification.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Defining GPK Group and/or customer requirements and creating innovative solutions
• Documenting solutions by way of specifications for approval
• Developing and delivering solutions or providing guidance and mentoring to enable colleagues to deliver
• Ensuring GPK Group's solutions and custom applications are secure, stable, and scalable
• Developing the knowledge, skills, and experience of colleagues for collective success and growth
• Contributing ideas to improve products, services, policies, processes, systems, and reporting

What you'll bring to the role

To qualify, you will need a relevant degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). You must also have at least 3 years experience in solutions architecture. Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, particularly Azure, is crucial for developing cloud solutions and will be key to succeeding in this role.

Individuals with experience at Managed Service Providers (MSPs) or in cloud-based engineering will find this role especially rewarding and well-suited to their skills. Moreover, this role is particularly suited to candidates who have progressed from a Support Engineer into a Senior Engineering position. This progression demonstrates a solid foundation and exposure to a variety of scenarios, equipping you with the experience to handle any situation that may arise.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

• Programming skills and an understanding of networks
• Proficiency in designing cloud-based solutions
• IT/Microsoft certifications are desirable for validated expertise
• Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
• Experience with ConnectWise (preferred) or other time management programs

You should also have sound relationship/stakeholder management and project management skills. With a systematic and organised approach, you will consistently meet deadlines.
